The bilateral programme

The Embassy administers a small amount of funds to help finance/ part finance projects that support development in line with the FCO’s strategy ‘Better World, Better Britain’.

Examples of some of our recent projects include work on Climate Change and Child Protection.

In addition to official development funds, the British Embassy administrates a small fund for assisting Costa Rican Schools in need. These funds are raised by the British Community at the Queen’s Birthday Party annual charity event.
