Reducing our Carbon Footprint
The Embassy has calculated its carbon footprint since 2007 and is always looking for ways to reduce it. First and foremost in order to reduce our footprint it is necessary for all those working with us to be willing to change their habits in order for us to be able to have a positive impact. Our internal green team has worked hard to raise awareness and as a result in 2008 we used 10% less energy in the Embassy than in 2007, without making any major changes to the office. In 2009 we have installed dual flush toilets, changed our lighting to energy efficient bulbs and updated our computer system and so, all being well, further reductions will be made to our carbon footprint this year.
