Peace with Nature Initiative

Since its launch in July 2007 the British Embassy has been a key supporter of the Peace with Nature Initiative ( PWN) created by President Oscar Arias.

The Embassy's work with PwN has focused primarily on programmes promoting green practices within Costa Rica's governmental institutions. The Embassy also co-produced a film about Costa Rica's role in the fight against Climate Change which can be seen here.

On 7 July the British Embassy received an award from President Arias for our support of the initiative (more information).

The Embassy is also assisting PwN with its international projection in the lead up to the Copenhagen conference in December through a series of international speaking events and media exposure (for more information see this link).
