Chevening scholarships
The British Embassy in San Jose in cooperation with the British Council and with the support of United Kingdom Universities offers scholarships financed by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
These scholarships are offered in more than 150 countries worldwide and the British Government provides a limited number of scholarships in Britain for Costa Ricans and Nicaraguans as a prestigious award made for postgraduate or second-degree courses only and preference is given to students already established in a career. A typical award would be for around one year, leading to a Masters degree.
There is a minimum age limit of 26 (no exceptions), to be reached in the calendar year that studies begin; and a maximum age limit of 40 in the year that studies begin.
It is important that candidates posses the personality of decision makers and formers of opinion in many walks of life, who are of high intellectual caliber, with the leadership potential to enable them to rise quickly to a position of influence in their chosen career.
Study fields:
