Press Centre

The Communications Section of the British Embassy in Costa Rica is responsible for relations with the media at local and international levels.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE UK

The main point of reference to look for updated information on a broad selection of topics about the UK is www.i-uk.com . This site is divided into four principal themes demonstrating British creativity and innovation:
  • "Life & Culture"
  • "Education"
  • "Business"
  • "Visiting the UK".
In each of these sections, www.i-uk.com provides an easy to use directory to find information of all kinds, from British fashion, music, sports, culture, travel, education, science and technology to trade and industry. It also includes links to other useful sites, magazine articles and the most frequently asked questions about the UK.

We can also provide some general information about the UK to people visiting our offices. For this purpose we have brochures, magazines, and other publications, some of which may be freely available, depending on quantities. At the moment, we only have reference material in English.

Information on Britain and on learning English can also be obtained from the British Institute in Costa Rica.

For consultation on more specialised topics, the Communications Officer Mr. Bruce Callow will try to help in finding information on the Internet. To obtain information about studying in the UK (universities, English courses) please contact the British Council .
